E-Brake Release Prcoedure

For Advanced EV Golf Carts

For Early Style Brake Motor

On the passenger side rear of the golf cart you will see the brake motor as shown in the picture below. This early motor comes with the screws uninstalled. Locate the screws included with your cart separately and install them in the locations shown in the image below. Fully tighten the screws and the e-brake will release.

Important!

Only use this procedure if your cart is locked up and will not roll freely. Until this procedure is reversed, your e-brake will not function and your cart could roll, causing damage or injury.

For New Style Brake Motor

On the passenger side rear of the golf cart you will see the brake motor as shown in the picture below. This new style motor already has the screws with springs installed on the motor, as shown in the image below. Fully tighten the screws and the e-brake will release.

Important!

Only use this procedure if your cart is locked up and will not roll freely. Until this procedure is reversed, your e-brake will not function and your cart could roll, causing damage or injury.
